Most key sights - Rembrandtplein (200 m), Kalverstraat shopping street, Royal Theatre Carré, Hermitage, Nieuwmarkt, and the Dam - are within a 5- to 15-minute walk. Amsterdam Central Station is 1 km away, reachable on foot in about 15 minutes or by tram lines 4 and 14 from Rembrandtplein (3-minute walk from the hotel). The area is packed with restaurants, cafés, and bars right at the doorstep, making it easy to explore on foot. For guests arriving by car, public parking costs €40-€65 per day nearby; a cheaper Park & Ride option is available outside the centre (€1/day plus free public transport tickets into town).

The hotel offers a wide variety of room types: singles (10-11 m2), doubles and twins (11-16 m2), triple rooms (26 m2), and quad rooms (24 m2), plus a two-storey Deluxe Quad Room (32 m2). Most rooms are in the historical main building, while some are in the adjacent annex building - each unique due to the monumental architecture. Canal-view rooms are located on the front side and offer classic Amsterdam vistas, while inner-court rooms are quieter. Many rooms feature Bluetooth speakers, USB chargers, electronic safes, and flat-screen TVs. Due to the building's age, there is no air conditioning, and some rooms can get warm in summer; a portable fan is provided on request. Noise from the street and nearby bars can be a factor in front-facing rooms, so light sleepers should request a room at the back. Bathrooms are private and many have been renovated, though some can be compact. Steep stairs are required for some annex rooms - guests with mobility concerns should request a room with elevator access.

Breakfast is available for €17 per person and offers a continental-style buffet including bread rolls, pastries, cheese, ham, turkey, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, fruit, and drinks. While the selection is adequate for a city-break start, it is fairly standard and not extensive. There is no on-site restaurant for other meals, but the front desk can recommend numerous restaurants within a short walk - ranging from local Dutch to international cuisines along the nearby canals and Rembrandtplein. In-room tea and coffee facilities are provided, and the lobby vending machine offers snacks, drinks, and alcoholic beverages.
