The hotel sits on Prins Hendrikkade, a 5- to 10-minute walk east of Central Station, providing a direct train link to Schiphol Airport with trains every 10-15 minutes. Dam Square, the Red Light District, and the main shopping street are all within a short walk. The neighbourhood is quieter than the busiest tourist zones, but still central enough to walk to most attractions. The hotel has no parking; the nearest public garage (Parking Centrum Oosterdok) is a 10-minute walk and costs around €25 for 24 hours, with cheaper long-stay options at P+R Zeeburg. A tram stop is located directly in front for easy city access.

All rooms have private bathrooms with a shower, toilet, and free toiletries, plus coffee/tea making facilities, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a safety deposit box, and free Wi-Fi. Rooms in the historic building vary significantly: Superior rooms are larger and mostly accessible via a lift or on the ground floor, while Standard rooms (Single, Twin, Triple, Quad) may be reached only by narrow, steep stairs. Some rooms are located in the basement with small, high windows, while others face a brick wall or a courtyard. Rooms on upper floors (third floor and above) are accessed via a very steep staircase with narrow steps. Some rooms have low ceilings or sloping beams, and noise from corridors or staff areas can be an issue. No air conditioning is available, but a fan is provided. Fans can be requested for additional cooling.

The breakfast buffet includes pastries and croissants, fresh ham and chicken, cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers, sausages, scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, cereals, juices, and coffee. The hotel also offers kid-friendly buffet options, a snack bar, and drinks at the bar which stays open until 01:00. There is no restaurant on-site, but several dining options are within a 5- to 10-minute walk, including Italian, Thai, and Surinamese restaurants. Breakfast can be taken as a packed bag if you have an early departure. The breakfast area can feel crowded, and the coffee machine may sometimes be out of order.
