The hotel is also a short 5-minute walk from the San Zaccaria stop. Saint Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace are a 5-10 minute walk, and the Rialto Bridge is about 15 minutes on foot. The area is lively with many bars and restaurants, particularly around the small courtyard, which can create noise late into the night. The location is quiet enough during the day to feel away from the main tourist crowds, but light sleepers may want to request a room facing away from the street.

Standard rooms are often described as very small-especially the bathrooms, which can be tiny and difficult to manoeuvre in, even for slim people. The décor in many rooms is outdated, with peeling paint and old furniture, which does not match the photos. Some rooms have been recently renovated and are well-maintained, with modern bathrooms and better space. There is no lift, so rooms on upper floors require carrying luggage up stairs. Triple rooms are on the second or third floor. The annex building next door offers renovated rooms. Some rooms have a courtyard view, which helps with ventilation. Air conditioning is available but may not be functional in cooler months; opening windows can bring in mosquitoes if no screens are present.

Breakfast includes a variety of pastries, cakes, yoghurt, cereal, sliced meats, and hot drinks. Gluten-free products and soy milk can be requested before arrival. The buffet is a basic continental spread-good for a quick start before sightseeing but not extensive. The hotel has no restaurant for other meals, but many excellent restaurants are within a 2-minute walk, including Trattoria Corte Sconta and Da Noi Osteria Pizzeria.
