HOTEL PRELE ホテルプレールC, Tokyo

The property sits a few steps from Akiba Shrine and close to Sogenji Temple, with Kappabashi-dori Shopping Street and Matsuba Park nearby. The neighborhood is calm and uncluttered, offering a restful base away from the city's busiest hubs. From Iriya Station it is a 20-minute rail trip to Ueno, and the Keisei Sky Access line from Narita Airport connects via Asakusa Station, about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The walk to the nearest metro station is manageable with a backpack, but can be slightly tiring with larger luggage. A variety of restaurants and convenience stores are within a short walk, including Pizzeria Santa Fe, Teuchi Soba Yoshi, and Thai cuisine DeeDee, all around 0.5 km away.

Each unit has a mix of upper and lower bunks in a compact, functional layout. The capsules are reasonably spacious for the price. The mattress quality can be felt-springs are noticeable on some beds, and the top bunks require climbing a single shared ladder. Each bunk has power outlets (two 110V A-type) and a reading light behind the curtain. The layout places sinks in the room near the beds, and the toilets and showers are on separate floors or in the same corridor, meaning some ambient noise from washing and movement is to be expected. Bedding is provided, but the linens have been noted to contain stray hairs on arrival. Luggage can be kept under the lower bunk; those on the upper bunk have a small storage compartment. There is no separate locker for larger items.

For self-catering, the common area (5F) has a microwave, electric kettles, and a vending machine for drinks, but no cooking utensils, plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, or a refrigerator. A small convenience store is a short walk away. The immediate streets are lined with varied dining options: within 0.3-0.5 km you will find Japanese soba at Teuchi Soba Yoshi, ramen at Taisei-en, and Chinese at Nishiki Chuka Saibo, as well as Thai cuisine at DeeDee and sandwiches at Yamadaseimenjo Honten. For those wanting to cook or store fresh food, the kitchen facilities are not equipped to support that-plan meals at nearby eateries or the convenience store.
