IBIS BUDGET MALAGA AEROPUERTO AVENIDA DE VELAZQUEZ, Malaga

The hotel sits on a busy motorway corridor, providing quick car access to the airport (5 min) and the city centre (10-15 min). The Puerta Blanca metro stop is a 5-10 minute walk, offering direct connections to central Málaga. Although the area is commercial and not pedestrian-friendly at night, several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. The nearby Los Álamos beach is a 5-minute drive. For a taxi to the airport, expect 15-20 EUR; to the city centre, 10-12 EUR. Free outdoor street parking is available but fills early afternoon; private on-site parking costs 8 EUR per night.

Rooms are designed for short stays: twin and double options, each featuring a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, parquet floors, heating, and a trouser press. Air conditioning is standard, though some units may take time to cool down after check-in. The rooms are small and fitted with only a bed and a small table - no wardrobe, safe, minibar, or kettle. Sofas can be requested for additional sleeping, as the maximum occupancy is three persons. Noise insulation is mixed: rooms facing the motorway can be very noisy if windows are opened, while internal courtyard rooms are quieter. Pillows are described as very hard by some, comfortable by others. Windows cannot be partially opened - only fully open or closed. Ground-floor rooms may have less natural light and views of the parking lot. Many room layouts are practical for a one-night sleep-over and luggage is secure with lockers available at reception.

The hotel provides a table tennis table for guest use at no extra cost. For other leisure needs, the nearby Martin Carpena Sports Centre (500 metres) hosts events and has sports facilities. The beach at Los Álamos is a 5-minute drive away. The property itself does not have a swimming pool, spa or fitness centre.
