Located in a safe, quiet street just a few blocks from Milano Centrale, Il Cortiletto provides a strategic base for rail travellers. The main station offers direct trains from Malpensa and Linate airports, plus metro connections to the Duomo in about 15 minutes. Tram line 10 stops at the end of the street, covering city-centre routes without needing a car. Sondrio metro station is also within walking distance. The surrounding area is practical for transit-based stays rather than scenic sightseeing, with several restaurants and a Lidl supermarket close by.

The property is a shared apartment with two private bedrooms, each with its own lockable bathroom. One room has the bathroom inside; the other has a private bathroom outside the room but exclusive. All rooms include air conditioning, heating, soundproofing, a desk, a flat-screen TV, and a balcony with garden or city views. Beds are king-size and notably comfortable. The shared kitchen is well equipped with an oven, stovetop, coffee machine, and dining table. A shared lounge/TV area provides additional space. The apartment is on the first floor with no lift, so it is best suited for those comfortable with stairs.

Il Cortiletto does not serve breakfast or have a restaurant. The shared kitchen provides everything needed for self-catering: oven, stovetop, coffee machine, and ample cookware. Several well-reviewed restaurants are within a short walk, including Ristorante San Giorgio a few doors away, and a bakery on the ground floor offers breakfast options. The nearby Mercato Centrale food court is a 5-minute walk from the station. A Lidl supermarket is close for groceries.

Wi-Fi is free throughout. Luggage storage is available from 11:30 before check-in and after check-out, making late-departure day trips possible. Check-in is handled in person by the host, Laura, who provides detailed local advice and is easy to contact by phone. Late check-in after 21:00 carries a €20 fee. Early check-in before 12:00 is not possible. There is no on-site parking, and the building has no lift. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, Maestro, CartaSi, and MasterCard.
