Located off the beaten path but still close to town, the property is about 8-15 minutes by car from downtown Fredericksburg's Main Street, wineries, and restaurants. The surrounding Hill Country is ideal for cycling and hiking. The property has walking paths along Spring Creek, where fishing is available (catfish, bass, perch). The remote setting provides minimal light pollution, making it excellent for stargazing from the private hot tub. Grocery stores and Walmart are within a short drive for supplies. While the location feels secluded, it offers easy access to local attractions.

The Joy cabin's kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, and all necessary cookware for self-catering. Outdoor barbecue grills and a picnic area are available on the property. For those preferring to dine out, downtown Fredericksburg (8-16 km) offers a variety of restaurants, and nearby grocery stores supply provisions. There is no restaurant, bar, or breakfast service at the property.

The cabin offers a private hot tub preheated and cleaned before arrival, with seating overlooking the creek - ideal for relaxation and stargazing. The property has walking paths along the creek, where guests can fish (catch and release). Outdoor amenities include a fire pit, barbecue grills, and a picnic area. The surrounding Hill Country is excellent for cycling and hiking. Wildlife such as ponies, deer, birds, and occasionally turtles are regularly seen on the property. There is no pool, gym, or spa on site (some other cabins have a sauna, but Joy does not).

Parking is free and requires a reservation; covered parking is provided. Wi-Fi is available free in all areas. Pets are allowed with a one-time fee (confirm details when booking). The property offers express check-in/out and private check-in/out for easy arrival and departure. A paid shuttle service is available on request, but airport shuttle is not. Laundry facilities (washer and dryer) are in the cabin. The property is non-smoking throughout with a designated smoking area. Safety equipment includes smoke alarms and fire extinguishers. An invoice can be provided upon request.
