The Clyde Hotel sits in Portland's creative West End, just one block from the iconic Powell's City of Books and a 10-minute walk from the Portland Art Museum. Washington Park, home to the Oregon Zoo and Japanese Garden, is a short drive or bus ride away. The Amtrak station is 1 km (15 minutes on foot), and Portland International Airport is 18 km (about a 16-minute drive). Multiple streetcar and bus lines run past the hotel, making car-free exploration straightforward. The surrounding neighbourhood is dense with restaurants, breweries, and independent shops. While downtown is generally walkable, some streets have a visible homeless presence; the hotel provides secure keypad entry and a night security guard.

Rooms are decorated with found and commissioned art, giving each a distinct personality. Standard Back rooms offer a queen bed and private walk-in shower. Double-double rooms are available for groups. King Suites include a sectional sofa that converts to two twin beds, oversized bathrooms with clawfoot tub or walk-in shower, and a record player. Shared-bathroom rooms have a sink and vanity in the room; a private single-occupancy bathroom is located down the hall (access to all floor bathrooms). All units have a 32-inch flat-screen TV, electric kettle, mini refrigerator, air conditioning, and heating. Beds are very comfortable. Some street-facing rooms may experience noise from traffic or industrial windows; earplugs are provided. Certain rooms can have a musty odor or limited natural light. Housekeeping is available on request. Luggage storage is offered.

The hotel does not operate a restaurant or offer a regular breakfast service. The attached coffee shop (Water Avenue Coffee) is a popular local spot for coffee, pastries, and breakfast items; tokens for free drip coffee are provided at check-in. A continental breakfast was previously offered but has been intermittent; confirm its availability when booking if this matters. Within a short walk are Jake's Famous Crawfish, Deschutes Brewery, Kenny & Zuke's Delicatessen, Clyde Common, Boxer Ramen, and several other restaurants. In-room tea and coffee are provided.

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the property. Check-in is fully digital via a virtual assistant; you must upload your ID and provide a credit or debit card for a $100 deposit (refunded after checkout). The front desk is staffed during daytime hours; a security guard is present overnight. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures.
