The property sits along a canal in a peaceful residential area, with rare car traffic and a serene atmosphere of gliding boats. Central Station is under a 10-minute walk, making airport train travel direct and simple. Nieuwmarkt and its metro station are just 500 metres away, while Chinatown and the Red Light District are both a 5-minute stroll. The Rembrandt House Museum is less than 10 minutes on foot. Despite its central position, the location remains remarkably calm, ideal for exploring the main attractions on foot while returning to a quiet base.

The ground-floor Studio features a private entrance, retro-style decor, a screened-off bed with luxurious linens, a seating area and a fully-equipped kitchen. The Attic Apartment is located on the 4th floor via a steep 45-degree staircase (approx. 10 metres of elevation gain over three flights) and offers a living room with a scenic view over the Oudeschans canal and the medieval Montelbaans Tower. It includes a separate bedroom, a living area and a kitchen. Both units have a private bathroom with a shower, parquet floors, heating and a fan for ventilation-air conditioning is not available. Beds are single units that cannot be split and extra beds are not offered. The sofa in the studio does not convert into a bed, but is comfortable for occasional extra seating. The attic apartment has light, open décor and good natural light, but has no proper blinds for full blackout, so light sleepers may prefer the studio with its additional curtain layers.

Complimentary coffee and tea, along with sparkling water, are provided upon arrival. A Senseo-style coffee machine is present in the units, and the kitchens include electric hotplates, cookware, utensils, a dining table and an electric kettle. Several restaurants and cafés are within a 5-minute walk, including Hiding In Plain Sight, Black Gold Amsterdam and Ristorante Italia Oggi, offering a variety of dining choices nearby.

The cats, noted for their friendly and social nature, are present in the building's shared entrance and stairwell and are often described as a highlight. The fur of this breed is considered nearly hypoallergenic, which may suit those with mild allergies. The studio offers a private entrance that avoids these shared spaces entirely. For outdoor leisure, the beautiful canals and the medieval Montelbaans Tower are visible from the apartment, and the surrounding residential area is quiet and scenic, ideal for walks. Boat tours and walking routes around the canal district are easy to access from the doorstep.
