KANDA STATION HOTEL, Tokyo

The hotel sits in a lively, safe area of Kanda, surrounded by numerous restaurants, bars, and convenience stores like 7-Eleven and Family Mart. It is a short walk from Tokiwa Park, Yanagi Inari Shrine, and Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store. Kanda Station is one stop from Tokyo Station, making the rest of the city easily accessible. The area is also close to Sakura Road. No parking is available, so the location is best suited for travellers arriving by train. The guest entrance has a lift, and the station is close by with elevator access.

Room types include single, double, twin, and triple configurations, all with private bathrooms featuring a bath, shower, and bidet. Rooms are air-conditioned and also have heating and an electric kettle. Beds are described as comfortable by some, though others find the mattresses firm. Room size is compact, especially the bathrooms, which some find very small. The building is older, and soundproofing is limited - train noise from the adjacent JR line can be heard, though trains stop late at night. Noise from water pipes in other bathrooms may also be audible. Some rooms have a view of the passing trains. Rooms on the upper floors are accessible by lift. Daily cleaning is provided, and amenities include slippers, toothbrushes, razors, and pyjamas.

The hotel provides free Wi-Fi throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk offers quick check-in and check-out. Luggage storage is available for an additional charge, allowing guests to drop off bags before check-in or after check-out. Laundry service is also available for a fee, with a machine on the second floor. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and key card access. The hotel is a non-smoking property. English-speaking staff are available and responsive. The door magnet system for requesting room cleaning is efficient.
