KENSINGTON COURT HOTEL - EARLS COURT, London

The hotel is in a safe, leafy neighbourhood within easy walking distance of Kensington High Street (10 min), Hyde Park (30 min walk), and major museums such as the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum, all with free entry. The street is lined with a wide variety of restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and pubs. Olympia London exhibition centre is 16 minutes away on foot. For shopping, Westfield London and Oxford Street are a short tube ride. The location scores 9.3 for value and convenience, with many choosing to walk to local sights rather than rely on transport. The lift at the station is step-free, making the route from the airport smooth even with luggage.

Breakfast is available for an additional charge of 9 GBP per person, and is often included in room rates. It runs Monday to Saturday 7:00-10:00 and Sunday 8:00-11:00. The buffet includes toast, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, cheese, cold meats, and hot items such as scrambled eggs, sausages, beans and fried or poached eggs (prepared to order). Gluten-free breakfast is available on request. The breakfast room is accessed via stairs or the lift. Table service is provided for hot beverages and cooked toast. The quality is considered basic; some find it repetitive after a few days. There is no restaurant or bar on site, but the surrounding streets offer dozens of dining options from casual to fine dining within a few minutes' walk. The hotel is licensed, so alcoholic drinks are available at the front desk.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, with variable strength in some rooms. The 24-hour front desk can assist with tours, taxi arrangements and luggage storage (free, available before check-in and after check-out). Daily housekeeping is included, with towel changes. The lift serves all 5 floors but is very small (max 2 people without luggage) and noisy; some floors have small steps that limit wheelchair access. The entrance has six steps at the front with no ramp. On-site parking is managed externally ('Your Parking Space'), cannot be reserved, spaces are very tight and cost is charged. No airport shuttle or porter service is available. Safety features include CCTV, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, key card access and a safety deposit box in rooms. Fax/photocopying is available at an extra charge.
