KHAOSAN PALACE HOTEL, Bangkok

The hotel is set in the heart of the Khao San Road nightlife zone, surrounded by bars, clubs, restaurants, and market stalls. Wat Pho temple and the Grand Palace are within a 15-20 minute walk. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 36 km away; travellers can take the S1 bus (60 THB, 06:00-20:00) or a public taxi (around 500 THB, roughly 1 hour). The area is walkable during the day, but the street becomes exceptionally crowded and loud from evening until early morning. A 7-Eleven and several food stalls are immediately outside the hotel.

Rooms are furnished with modern decor, air conditioning, a flat-screen cable TV, minibar, electric kettle, and a safety deposit box. The en suite bathrooms include shower facilities and free toiletries. Some rooms have a CD player, DVD player, or sofa, depending on the category. Room size varies; rooms at the front of the hotel face the street and receive high noise levels from the clubs below. Rooms at the back or on higher floors are quieter. Some rooms have an internal window overlooking a wall or no window at all, which can feel dark. There is no wardrobe, only a clothes rail or hooks. A hairdryer and iron are available on request from reception.

The property's dining option is Kappu Kappu Coffee Shop, offering a buffet breakfast from 07:00 to 11:00. The coffee shop is open throughout the day for light snacks, bakery items, and refreshments. There is no standalone restaurant on site. The immediate Khao San Road area provides numerous street food stalls, local eateries, and international restaurants within a few minutes' walk. A snack bar is also available on the property for additional grab-and-go options.

Free WiFi is available in all rooms and public areas. The 24-hour front desk offers luggage storage, currency exchange, and a tour desk for arranging day trips and sightseeing. A business centre with meeting facilities is also available. Laundry service is provided for an additional charge. An ATM/cash machine is located on site. The ground floor houses a minimarket. Lift access is limited to rooms in the large building wing (e.g., Scarlet and Splendid categories). Housekeeping must be requested by 16:00 for same-day service. Accepted payment methods are Visa and MasterCard.
