The Old City Market is a few minutes' walk away, and the shopping, dining, and nightlife of King Street are easily accessible on foot. City tours depart from nearby points. The location is highly walkable, and free bike rentals make exploring Charleston's neighborhoods and a day trip to Folly Beach straightforward. For airport transfers, no shuttle is available; use a rideshare or the nearby public transport options. Parking is available on site at a daily rate, but a cheaper public lot exists less than a block away for those arriving by car.

Room types range from double and quadruple rooms to suites. Only select king rooms have a balcony, and these are available by request only and not guaranteed. Rooms with two queen beds do not have a balcony, and no rooms feature a pull-out sofa. Bathrooms are private, and some suites and queen rooms have bathtubs. A safe deposit box is included, and a mini refrigerator or rollaway bed can be requested upon check-in but is not standard. Soundproofing is limited; noise from the hallway, street, and courtyard bar is common. Rooms facing the courtyard or on lower floors near the pool may experience loud music until late. Bedroom windows in some rooms offer little to no natural light or directly overlook public areas. Bed comfort is generally good, with large bathrooms and fluffy towels.

Little Palm serves breakfast and brunch daily from 07:00 (until 11:00 on Monday-Tuesday, and until 15:00 Wednesday-Sunday) and features a poolside and courtyard bar with evening cocktails. The Backyard is open for lunch and dinner. The Coffee Counter serves specialty coffee drinks from 07:00 to 13:00 and offers complimentary lobby coffee from 07:00 to 10:00. A $10 daily breakfast credit is included per person with the amenity fee, usable at the Coffee Counter and Little Palm. Wine and champagne are available for an additional charge. Room service is reportedly inconsistent; guests who plan meals may prefer to rely on the on-site venues or the numerous nearby restaurants within a short walk.

The outdoor swimming pool features a fence, sun loungers, and beach chairs. However, only 11 loungers are available for guests, and the pool is open to the public via day passes, making it crowded and hard to access at peak times-especially on weekends and holidays. The pool area has a social, club-like atmosphere and is not particularly suited for children. Free yoga classes and fitness classes are offered, and the 24-hour access to Pivotal Fitness is included in the amenity fee. Evening entertainment, live music, and walking tours are available, though some activities (bike tours, happy hour) incur an additional charge. No spa is on site.
