The hotel sits on Passeig de Pujades, directly across from Ciutadella Park and within 5 minutes of the Arc de Triomf metro and train station. The Nord bus station is a few metres away. You can walk to Plaça Catalunya and Las Ramblas in about 15 minutes, and to the Gothic Quarter or El Born in 10. The park itself hosts events and is a popular local spot. For the beach, reachable in 20-25 minutes on foot. The area is well-served by public transport: the metro runs from 5:00 and connects directly to the airport (with one transfer). A bus stop is right in front of the hotel. This central but quieter location is ideal for exploring the city without the crowds.

The hotel offers both interior and exterior rooms. Interior rooms open onto a courtyard; they are quieter but may lack natural light and have limited ventilation, with some having no window at all or a window onto a narrow light well. Exterior rooms overlook the street or the park and get daylight, but can be noisy from street traffic and the restaurant on the ground floor until late. All rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom with shower. Some rooms are compact and may feel tight for two large suitcases. Beds are twin singles pushed together to form a double; some have reported them as firm. Daily housekeeping is provided, and complimentary bottled water is replenished each day. No tea/coffee making facilities or kettles are provided, but free coffee and tea are available in the downstairs bar.

The restaurant serves Spanish cuisine, with a strong reputation for seafood and meat paellas, garlic shrimp, and other traditional dishes. Breakfast is available from 08:30 to 11:30 and is served à la carte (not buffet), costing €6-€10 per person, though during certain periods breakfast service may be limited. Lunch and dinner are served, with the restaurant often busy until late. There is also a bar, a coffee house on site, and a snack bar; wine and champagne are available at an additional charge. Many find the restaurant excellent value, offering a terrace with park views, and it is a popular local spot.

Wellness facilities are not offered on site. The main leisure asset is Ciutadella Park directly opposite, a large green area with paths, a lake, and the Barcelona Zoo. The hotel can provide free towels for the beach, which is a 20-25 minute walk away.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. The 24-hour front desk is staffed, and security includes a safety deposit box. Luggage storage is available both before check-in and after check-out for free, which is useful for late flights. Check-in is from 14:00; late check-in (after midnight) is possible with advance notice. Check-out is until 11:00. The hotel does not have a lift; staff can help carry bags up the stairs if arranged in advance. Breakfast is not served buffet-style but à la carte.
