LA QUINTA INN BY WYNDHAM AUSTIN NORTH, Austin

Located at the intersection of Route 183 and Interstate 35, this hotel offers quick highway access, making downtown Austin reachable within a 15-minute drive. The Austin Convention Center is a short drive away, and landmarks like the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and Austin Zoo are within driving distance. The nearest airport, AUS-Bergstrom, is also about a 15-minute drive. Nearby dining includes Ojos Locos Sports Cantina just 0.5 km away. The immediate area features highway-facing views and a funeral home, with a parking lot that can feel dark and less secure at night. For local errands, a Walmart is close by.

Accommodations include rooms with king-size beds, double queen beds, triple rooms, and suites. Each room features a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, ironing facilities, and a work desk. Some room types offer a balcony; select your dates to confirm availability. Rooms also include a microwave and fridge. The overall condition is dated: hallways have worn, stained carpets, and some rooms may have musty smells, stained furniture, or noisy A/C units. Road-facing rooms can hear highway noise, but the A/C fan setting helps mask it. Rooms facing the interior are quieter. The property is older but rooms are generally spacious; the bed quality is often noted as comfortable.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. It includes hot items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, and biscuits with gravy, as well as cold options like cereal, yogurt, bread, and a waffle maker. The coffee is hot, and orange juice is provided. However, supply can be inconsistent; items like eggs and sausages may run out, and the waffle maker is sometimes broken. The hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, but the minimarket sells drinks, snacks, and sundries. Nearby dining options include Ojos Locos Sports Cantina and several other restaurants within a short drive.

Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Free private parking is possible on site but requires a reservation. The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/check-out, and daily housekeeping. On-site laundry facilities are available for a fee. A business centre with fax/photocopying is free of charge, and meeting/banquet facilities are available for an additional charge. The property has a lift, air conditioning, heating, non-smoking rooms, and facilities for disabled guests. A minimarket is on site for essentials. Safety features include CCTV, key card access, smoke alarms, and a security alarm. Pets are allowed with no fee, up to two pets per room (max 23 kg each). Airport shuttle service is not available.
