HILTON AUSTIN AIRPORT, Austin

The Hilton Austin Airport sits on the former Bergstrom Air Force Base, inside the airport perimeter. The terminal is less than 5 minutes away via the complimentary shuttle, which runs every 20-30 minutes and picks up at the upper-level departures curb. Downtown Austin, the University of Texas, and entertainment districts are about 10-15 minutes by car via major highways. While the hotel is not walkable to the terminal, the shuttle service is reliable and quick. For travel beyond the airport, a taxi or rideshare is needed. The shuttle is not wheelchair accessible, but the hotel arranges and covers a taxi for those with mobility needs.

Guest rooms are generously sized and include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, tea and coffee making facilities, video games, and heating. Bathrooms have a tub and shower, with basic toiletries provided-though guests may want to bring their own soap. Beds are noted for comfort, with soft pillows and blackout shades for good sleep. Some rooms have a separate living area. The hotel's donut shape means rooms face either the courtyard or exterior. Top-floor exterior-facing rooms are especially quiet. However, some rooms show signs of wear with dated decor or occasional cleanliness issues. No rooms have balconies. Wi-Fi in rooms is often unreliable; working from the lobby is recommended.

Breakfast is available from 6 AM to 11 AM in Creeks Restaurant, offering a buffet and à la carte options. The buffet has been described as good to average, with occasional cleanliness concerns. Dinner at Creeks is American fare; prices are high and portions small, though the burger has been praised. The lobby bar serves drinks and light meals until 11 PM, but service can be unfriendly. For coffee and pastries, the on-site Starbucks is a reliable option. Special diet menus are available on request. The restaurant is open to non-guests.

The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk with concierge, express check-in/out, and an ATM. Luggage storage is complimentary. Housekeeping is daily; guests needing extra towels or supplies should call the front desk. Self-service laundry facilities are available. Safety deposit boxes and 24-hour security are in place. The property is wheelchair accessible (except the shuttle). Meeting and banquet facilities are available. Pets are allowed with applicable charges. Internet is free in public areas but often slow in rooms; lobby Wi-Fi is more reliable. Parking is private and gated, costing $14 per night without reservation; the Park, Stay & Go package allows up to 7 days for $60.
