LA QUINTA INN & SUITES BY WYNDHAM SAN JOSE AIRPORT-DOWNTOWN, San Jose

The hotel sits on a main street beside a residential neighbourhood, with easy car access to major highways. San Jose Convention Center is 4 km away, San Jose Civic Auditorium 4 km, Happy Hollow Park and Zoo 6 km, and San Jose State University about 3 km. PayPal Park is a 6-minute drive. No airport shuttle operates, so taxis or ride-share are the efficient airport option. Japantown is close, and several restaurants are within 0.5 km (Hunan Taste 0.5 km, Karimi 0.5 km, Subway 0.5 km, Danbi Korean 0.5 km, Jade Cathay 1 km). On-site valet parking removes the parking hunt; street parking outside is available but less secure. Most local errands are quicker by car or rideshare than on foot.

Rooms are modern, clean and well laid out, with seating area, TV, heating, hairdryer, free toiletries and either a bath or shower; some suites add a microwave. Accessible rooms may offer a walk-in shower or a bathtub with a removable shower seat and grab bars. Lighting runs on a key-card slot at the door, and bathroom lights use a motion sensor, so the bathroom can go dark during a very long shower. Hot water may take a few minutes to reach temperature. TV channel selection is broad, but sets are not smart TVs. Street-side rooms can pick up traffic sound, upper-floor footsteps can be audible below, and the room air-conditioner adds background noise; top-floor rooms away from the lift are the quietest. Cots are available on request.

Breakfast is served in a clean, well-stocked breakfast area and is included for all registered travellers. The spread is American-style: fried eggs, sausage or bacon, toast and bagels, cereal, boiled eggs, yoghurt and a self-serve waffle maker. A snack bar and 24-hour minimarket cover snacks and drinks at other times, and wine or champagne is available for an additional charge. The kid-friendly buffet makes family breakfasts easier. Dining on site is centred on the breakfast room, the snack bar and the minimarket.

The fitness centre is equipped for cardio and strength training, providing a clean, quiet space for a workout. The shared lounge/TV room offers a place to relax between flights or meetings, and outdoor furniture extends the seating options. Bicycle parking supports exploring San Jose on two wheels. The 24-hour minimarket and snack bar make it easy to pick up drinks and snacks around workout or leisure time. The leisure offer is efficient and fitness-focused, fitting a short airport or business stay.

The 24-hour front desk handles late arrivals, and express check-in/out speeds up arrival and departure. A welcome drink is offered at check-in, and luggage storage is available before check-in or after checkout. The business centre provides computer access and document printing, and fax/photocopying is available. Laundry services and Wi-Fi carry an additional charge. On-site parking is valet-managed inside a secured garage, and electric-vehicle charging ports are available. A lift serves the upper floors, and facilities for disabled travellers are in place. Security includes CCTV, key-card room access, smoke and security alarms, and free safety deposit boxes. Daily housekeeping is standard, and using the room's door sign controls servicing timing.
