The hotel sits in a lively district between Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, placing you within a short walk of two major train stations and Place de la République. République metro station (multiple lines) is practically outside, and the surrounding streets are lined with bakeries, cafés, and restaurants. You can walk to Gare de l'Est in about 10 minutes and to many central sights within 20-30 minutes on foot. The area itself is well-equipped with supermarkets and shops, making it a practical base for both tourists and business travellers. While the street is convenient, some side streets feel less secure at night, so stick to the main roads.

Rooms are small but efficiently designed, with comfortable beds, soundproofed walls, and fresh modern bathrooms including walk-in showers. Some rooms look onto the street, others onto a quiet courtyard; those facing the courtyard are significantly quieter at night. All rooms include free toiletries, a hairdryer, satellite TV, a wardrobe, and a safe deposit box. Double and twin configurations are available, with family rooms on request (a free cot can be provided). There is no air conditioning, so during heatwaves rooms can become very warm. Bathroom odours have been reported in some units, and street-facing rooms may hear traffic and pedestrians if windows are open. The lift is small (suitable for one person with luggage) and has been noted to occasionally malfunction.

Breakfast is a continental buffet (€10 per person) with breads, pastries, yogurts, cereals, cheese, ham, tea, coffee, and juice. It is served in a warm dining room on the lower ground floor, with caring staff who ensure the buffet is replenished. There are no hot dishes available. An electric kettle is kept in the breakfast room for guests who need hot water. The surrounding neighbourhood is dense with bakeries and cafés within a 2-5 minute walk, offering convenient alternatives for a fuller or later morning meal.
