The hotel sits on a peaceful residential square in Bayswater, within walking distance of Hyde Park (20 min), Kensington Palace, Notting Hill, and Portobello Road Market. Both Bayswater (Circle/District) and Queensway (Central) Tube stations are a 5-minute walk away, giving direct access to central London and Heathrow via the Tube. Victoria Coach Station is about 20 minutes by Tube, and sightseeing tour buses stop within walking distance. The neighbourhood is well served by bus routes into the city centre and has a wide selection of restaurants, pubs, and supermarkets just a few minutes away. For car users, there is no on-site parking, but several public car parks are nearby.

Rooms are available as singles, doubles, twins, triples, quad, and family rooms (up to 5 guests). Every room has a private bathroom with shower (no baths), a hairdryer, free toiletries, heating, a flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. Windows open for ventilation. Some rooms are in the main building; others are in an annex 100 metres down the same street. There is no lift, and rooms on upper floors (including attic and 4th floor) involve steep stairs. Rooms are generally compact and basic in decor - some have been recently renovated. Noise from the street can be noticeable in front-facing rooms, and interior rooms may hear breakfast prep. Beds vary in comfort; some guests find the mattresses firm. No tea/coffee facilities, iron, or fridge in rooms (medical items can be stored at reception). Fans are available on request but no air conditioning.

Breakfast is served between 7:30 and 9:30 in the basement dining room. The free continental option allows you to choose up to four items from: toast, croissant, fruit (apple/banana), yogurt, cornflakes, juice, and tea or coffee. Gluten-free bread is available if requested in advance; vegan options (e.g. soya milk) can also be arranged with notice. A cooked breakfast (full English) can be ordered for £8 supplement. Service is table-service - you fill in a slip - and can be slow during busy periods. There is no restaurant or bar on site, but cold drinks are sold at reception. The area around the hotel has many restaurants (Italian, Lebanese, Greek, etc.) within a 2- to 5-minute walk.

The 24-hour front desk can assist with check-in at any time (from 15:00) and offer luggage storage - free in the lounge or £3 per bag for a locked room. Wi-Fi is free in all areas. A shared lounge/TV area provides complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate all day. Daily housekeeping is free but may not include changing towels - towels are normally refreshed every three days; extra towel changes carry a fee. A safety deposit box is available for a charge, and fax/photocopying services can be arranged. The hotel is non-smoking throughout, does not allow pets, and offers family rooms.
