POINT A KENSINGTON OLYMPIA, London

The hotel sits on a main road in the Kensington Olympia area, a short walk from Earl's Court tube station which provides direct access to the District and Piccadilly lines. The Piccadilly line runs directly to Heathrow Airport (45-50 minutes by TFL). For those arriving from Stansted, the train journey takes 1 hour 30 minutes. Major landmarks within walking distance include Olympia Exhibition Centre, the Natural History Museum (2 km), Victoria and Albert Museum (2 km), Royal Albert Hall, and Harrods. The immediate area offers a range of restaurants and a Tesco supermarket within a few minutes' walk. Road-facing rooms experience continuous traffic noise day and night, making them less suitable for light sleepers. The Earl's Court area is considered safe and well-connected, suitable for solo travellers and families alike.

Breakfast is served as a continental buffet including fresh pastries (croissants and cinnamon rolls), bread, cheese, ham, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, boiled eggs, fruit juice, and hot drinks. It caters to vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diets, and lactose-free milk is available. The breakfast space is relatively small, and during busy periods guests may need to sit in the lobby area. The offering covers a solid range of sweet and savoury continental options but does not include cooked-to-order items such as scrambled eggs or bacon. Pre-booking is not compulsory - breakfast can be purchased on a daily basis at the reception or online. Takeaway is also possible, which is convenient for early departures. The breakfast is considered good value for its price by many, though those wanting a full English breakfast should plan to eat elsewhere.

No pool, spa, gym, sauna, or garden is available on-site. For leisure, the hotel offers a shared lounge/TV area where guests can relax, read, or use the free Wi-Fi. The surrounding area provides opportunities for walking and water sports nearby. Earl's Court and South Kensington are residential and safe areas, pleasant for evening strolls around the museums and parkland. The lounge is available to all guests and can be used before check-in or after check-out if luggage is stored at reception for a fee.

The hotel operates a 24-hour front desk for late arrivals and departures, including a self-service check-in terminal. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas and is fast enough for streaming and general browsing. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, but carries a charge of £3 per item - a notable cost if travelling with multiple bags. Express check-in/check-out is offered at no additional charge. Accessibility features include wheelchair-accessible rooms with a lower bathroom sink, emergency cord in bathroom, toilet grab rails, and a roll-in shower. The lift provides access to all floors, though there are 8-10 steps at the entrance without a ramp. A vending machine selling drinks and snacks operates 24/7, and cold drinks are available at reception. Smart TVs in rooms are integrated with Chromecast for streaming personal content. No fridge, microwave, or in-room safe is provided beyond the safety deposit box. Accepted payment methods are American Express, Visa, and MasterCard.
