The hostel is just 900 metres from St Louis Cathedral and St Louis Cemetery No 1, and a 10-minute walk to both Bourbon Street and Jackson Square. Frenchmen Street, known for live jazz, is about 10 minutes away. The nearest airport, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International, is 19 km away; an airport shuttle drops off around the corner at the Melrose Mansion. The area feels safe and is walkable at night, with a quieter residential feel while staying close to the lively entertainment districts.

Room options include double rooms with queen beds (available in some private rooms), twin and triple rooms, and female-only dorms. Some private rooms feature a private bathroom, a balcony or terrace, and a seating area. Dorm beds come with privacy curtains and are comfortable; shared bathrooms are kept clean.
