MONTEMPO APPART'HOTEL BORDEAUX BELVEDERE, Bordeaux

The property is in a residential area about 3 km from the city centre. Bus stop #31 (Joliot Curie) is steps away, allowing direct access to the train station and tram lines C and D in under 10 minutes. The Stone Bridge and Saint-Michel Basilica are within a 15-minute walk, while the Museum of Aquitaine and Place de la Bourse are about 25 minutes on foot. An ice-skating rink operates nearby. The area is generally calm and safe, with a Carrefour supermarket close by for supplies. For those driving, the on-site garage costs €9 per night but must be reserved; without a reservation, street parking is limited and may require a 20-minute walk to an alternative garage. Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport is 16 km away.

The hotel offers twin rooms (2 single beds) and double rooms (1 double bed), all with a private shower and toilet. Rooms are small but efficiently laid out, featuring a wardrobe, heating, and a fan - no air conditioning. Kitchenettes include a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, and cookware, though a kettle must be requested from reception. Bed comfort is generally described as good, with comfortable mattresses, but some find the pillows low and the beds too soft. Rooms on the street side face a busy road and tram line, making open-window sleeping difficult due to noise; courtyard-facing rooms are quieter. The property is new and clean, with some noting minor wear like dusty vents and sticky floors. No daily housekeeping is provided, so guests should plan to tidy the kitchenette and take out trash independently.

Breakfast is served in a small area near the reception. The buffet includes bread, pastries, pancakes, cheese, and fruit, and is kept stocked during service hours. For €10 it is considered basic but adequate value. No hot dishes are offered. The kitchenettes in the rooms allow guests to prepare their own meals, and a Carrefour supermarket is within walking distance for groceries. Several dining options are within 0.5 km, including a burger café, bagel shop, and crêperie.

The property includes a fitness room, providing a basic workout option for guests. There is no pool, spa, or other leisure facilities. The nearby ice-skating rink offers an alternative recreational activity just a short walk away.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and generally reliable, though some connectivity issues have been noted. The 24-hour front desk offers luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures, and staff are multilingual and helpful. On-site parking costs €9 per night and must be reserved in advance - the garage is secure but accessed via a narrow staircase with no lift for luggage, requiring a badge for each gate. A 90€ credit card deposit is taken at check-in for potential damages. Cots are available on request. Pets are not allowed. No housekeeping service is provided for stays under a week, and trash must be taken to a designated collection room.
