HOTEL DE PARIS MONTMARTRE, Paris

The hotel is on a quiet side street off Place de Clichy, with metro lines 2 and 13 providing direct routes to the Champs-Élysées (15 minutes), Opera Garnier (15 minutes), Stade de France (17 minutes), and Palais des Congrès (13 minutes). The area is packed with restaurants, cafés, bars, and shops within a two-minute walk, including over a dozen dining options within 300 metres. Montmartre and the Sacré-Cœur are a pleasant 10-minute walk uphill, while the Moulin Rouge is 500 metres away. The neighbourhood is well-connected by bus and metro, making it easy to reach all major attractions without a car.

Each room features a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a wardrobe (or open hanging space), and a private bathroom with bath or shower. Some rooms have air conditioning, heating, and soundproofed walls, though effectiveness varies. Standard double rooms are notably small, with limited space for luggage and a cramped shower cubicle that can be difficult for larger guests. Upgraded rooms offer more floor space, a better bathroom layout, and often a quieter position. Electric kettles are provided free of charge, and some rooms include a balcony or terrace. Housekeeping is daily, but cleanliness and towel quality have been inconsistent. Rooms on higher floors at the back of the hotel are quieter than those facing the street or near the lift.

The breakfast consists of a basic continental buffet with bread, croissants, butter, jam, cheese, cold meats, yogurt, fruit, and coffee/tea from a machine. The selection is limited and not replenished after 10:00, when service ends. While the quality is decent for the price, travellers wanting a more substantial or varied morning meal will find excellent boulangeries and cafés within a two-minute walk. The surrounding area has dozens of restaurants for lunch and dinner, ranging from casual bistros to international cuisine, all within 300 metres of the hotel.

WiFi is free throughout the building, though signal strength can be weak on the second floor and requires re-login each time. The 24-hour front desk can assist with tours, tickets, and luggage storage (fee may apply). Luggage is sometimes kept in the open reception area, so secure storage is not guaranteed. The hotel has a lift, key card access, CCTV, and safety deposit boxes. No parking is available on site; the nearest public car park is REDELE on Rue Forest. The hotel does not offer a two-way airport shuttle, only a one-way service from the hotel to the airport. Payment is accepted by American Express, Visa, Maestro, and MasterCard.
