The hotel sits on 6th Avenue, one block from the main 5th Street entertainment strip. The San Diego Convention Center is a 13-minute walk away, and Petco Park is reachable in about 12 minutes. USS Midway Museum is 1.6km, the Santa Fe Depot Amtrak station is a 14-minute walk, and San Diego International Airport is 4km away. Public transport (tram and bus) stops are nearby. Note that rooms on the 6th Avenue side can be loud from street noise until late night, while rooms on the opposite side tend to be quieter.

Each air-conditioned room features a double bed, a private bathroom with walk-in shower, free toiletries, a fold-down desk, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, parquet floors, and a white noise machine. There is no closet, drawers, or safe; storage is limited to wall hooks and the small nightstand. Some rooms have city views, but none have balconies. The air-conditioning unit can be noisy. Pillows are described as flat, and the bedding is a blanket rather than a duvet. A mini-fridge can be requested based on availability; there is no coffee maker in the room (complimentary coffee is available in the lobby from 6:30AM). Rooms are cleaned every other day by default.

Breakfast is available for an additional $12 (weekdays 8AM-10AM, weekends until 11AM). The bar serves lunch and dinner with a menu of small plates and American classics; evening hours are 4PM-9PM weekdays and until 10PM Friday-Saturday. All patrons drinking alcohol must also order a meal. A hidden speakeasy, Room56, is accessible through a bookshelf and offers curated cocktails in a clandestine setting. Lobby snacks are available 24/7. There is no room service, but you can order drinks from the bar to take to your room.

The fitness centre is open 24hours a day and includes cardio and strength equipment. The hotel's games room offers board games and a pool table, and the lobby has a shared lounge with a TV. Live music or a DJ performance is featured several nights a week, and a nightclub operates on select evenings (free entry for hotel guests). Happy hour with discounted drinks is available for an additional charge.
