The area around the hotel is lively, with a daily market, clothing stalls, and numerous street-food vendors. For shopping, Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman and Sogo department store are nearby. Note that the hotel has no parking, but the nearest paid car park is a 2-3 minute walk. While the neighbourhood is central, it can feel busy late at night; the hotel is positioned next to a mosque, from which the call to prayer can be heard.

Some rooms have city views; windowless rooms also exist, so requesting a room with a window is advisable. Connecting rooms are available on request subject to availability. Soundproofing is basic, and noise from adjacent rooms or the hallway can travel. The air conditioning is individually controlled and reliable.
