NEW GENERATION HOSTEL PRAGUE CENTER, Prague

The location is a short walk from all major Old Town sights: the Astronomical Clock is 400 metres away, Charles Bridge 1 km, and landmarks like the Municipal House are five minutes on foot. The entrance is set back from the street in a quiet courtyard, which helps reduce street noise. The area is packed with restaurants-Pasta Fresca and Wine Bar NUEL are a three-minute walk away-and the main square itself is two minutes on foot. For longer trips, tram and metro stops are within easy walking distance. This location is ideal for sightseeing entirely on foot.

Many beds in the dormitories are separated by full-height walls that create individual cubicles, giving more privacy than typical bunks. Each bed comes with a personal reading light, a power socket, and a large locker with a key. Private rooms feature a tiled floor, heating, a wardrobe, and a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. Some rooms have city views. The female-only dormitory has individual bed cells that some find isolated; the main dormitory rooms are more open and social. Bedding (linen and pillowcase) is provided, but blankets are not enclosed in a duvet cover-guests use a flat sheet to cover them. Noise can travel between rooms and from the corridor, and some rooms have a sensor-based light that may switch on and off at night. The ceiling fan may not cool the room adequately in warmer weather. The bed mattresses are described as firm.

The breakfast consists of two small croissants (often served with Nutella or jam) and a choice of coffee, tea, or a hot beverage. It is served at a reception area counter. The meal is compact and best suited as a light start to the morning; for a more substantial meal, the surrounding area offers numerous bakeries and cafés. Breakfast timing is 09:00-10:30; late arrivals may miss it entirely. The hostel does not have a restaurant or bar; guests can use the shared kitchen for self-catering. Several restaurants-a mix of Italian, Czech pub-style, and international options-are within a five-minute walk.

The garden is a simple area with benches, suitable for relaxing, meeting other travellers, or having a coffee. There is no gym, spa, pool, or dedicated games area. The common area is limited to the garden and a small shared kitchen, which also serves as a social space.
