The hostel sits in a central but quiet area, within walking distance of the city hall, Gamla Stan, and many restaurants. A supermarket is located nearby. The metro station Rådhuset is a one-minute walk away, and bus line 3 stops directly in front of the hostel, connecting to major city routes and the Central Station. For airport transfers, taking a bus to Central Station and then a local bus is significantly cheaper than a taxi from Arlanda Airport (33 km). The surrounding streets feature historical buildings and parks.

Rooms are located in the basement and have no windows, relying on mechanical ventilation. Some rooms contain a very noisy electric unit that produces a constant clacking sound. Bunk beds are made of metal and can be creaky; upper bunks feel particularly cramped with low headroom and a boxed-in pipe casing above. Light sleepers should request a lower bunk and a room away from any machinery. Each bed has a privacy curtain, individual reading light, shelf, and two USB ports. A small personal locker (bring your own padlock) is provided, but it is not large enough for a suitcase; a communal luggage room is available instead. Heating is available, but rooms are described as very hot during summer as there is no effective air conditioning. The hostel provides a bed linen set and towel.

While the property lacks a restaurant or bar, the shared kitchen is available 24/7 and is equipped with basic cooking essentials, a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, electric kettle, and cookware. Free tea, coffee, sugar, and salt are always provided. The kitchen has limited seating (approximately 8 seats), which can feel crowded. For breakfast or lunch, several restaurants offer meals starting from 50 SEK within a short walking distance, including Bergamott, Olstugan Tullen, and Sakura Sushi.

There are no pool, spa, or gym facilities. The shared lounge and TV area host a schedule of free daily events, including movie screenings, board games, karaoke, and occasional pancake nights. This creates a social atmosphere and makes it easy to meet other travellers. The common area also has couches and a TV for relaxing.

Entrance to the building, room, and luggage room is via individual key codes, with codes provided 24 hours before arrival. This allows for late check-in at any time. The luggage storage room is free to use before check-in and after check-out (until 10 pm). A laundry service is available for an additional 60 SEK. Daily housekeeping is included. A safety deposit box is available at reception. Fax and photocopying are available for a fee. The property uses key card access for the main entrance, and has 24-hour security with CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. Internet access is free in all areas.
