NORTH-HOTEL, Hamburg

The hotel occupies a prime spot on Hamburg's famous Reeperbahn entertainment strip, placing guests in the heart of St. Pauli's nightlife. The St. Pauli Piers (Landungsbrücken) are 750 metres away, with the Elbe Philharmonic Hall and Planten un Blomen park also nearby. Reeperbahn S-Bahn station is a short walk, offering a direct S1 connection to Hamburg Airport (12 km). Hamburg Central Station is 4 km away. The immediate area is lively and can feel intense, with street activity around the entrance. Back-street rooms are noticeably quieter. For car travel, two public parking garages are directly opposite the hotel, costing €20 for 24 hours.

North-Hotel offers bright rooms decorated with contemporary furniture and wall art. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, work desk, heating, and a modern private bathroom with hairdryer and free toiletries. Some rooms open onto a terrace. The property has no air conditioning, but a fan can be provided on request. Room sizes are generally compact, particularly the bathrooms, which are functional but small. Rooms at the rear of the building are notably quieter than those facing the Reeperbahn. Cleanliness standards have been noted to vary. The building has no lift; rooms are located on upper floors accessible only by stairs. The layout is best suited for short stays or single occupancy, with limited space for luggage in some configurations.

There is no restaurant, breakfast service or bar at the hotel. A drinks vending machine is available on site, though its operational status can vary. The Reeperbahn and the surrounding St. Pauli streets are filled with dining options within a 5-minute walk, covering cuisines from Mexican and Italian to Asian and German, as well as ice cream parlours and street food. For those staying multiple nights, planning meals outside the hotel is straightforward given the density of nearby venues.

Security features include 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas and outside, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, a security alarm, and key card access.
