Room Pauli is situated at the centre of Hamburg's most famous entertainment district, right on the party mile. It is less than a minute's walk from the S-Bahn (Hans-Albers-Platz station) and a 8-minute walk from the Port of Hamburg and St. Pauli Piers. The Elbphilharmonie is 2 km away and Hamburg Airport is 9 km away. The immediate area is extremely lively, with numerous bars, clubs, and restaurants. While the location is ideal for experiencing the nightlife, the street noise and vibration from the bars below is constant until around 5-6 AM. Light sleepers or those wanting a quiet stay should choose accommodation elsewhere.

All rooms are private and feature a private shower and sink, while the toilets are located in the hallway and shared among guests. The rooms are compact but practical, with a comfortable bed, desk, wardrobe, and a kitchenette that includes a microwave, fridge, electric kettle, stovetop, and basic kitchenware. Amenities include free WiFi, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, and heating. Windows are well-insulated against street noise, but rooms facing the street still experience significant noise and vibration from the bars and clubs below. Rooms overlooking the inner courtyard are remarkably quieter. The building is older, but rooms are newly renovated and consistently reported as very clean. Toilets in the hallway are also kept very clean. Note that bathrooms do not include a toilet, and no soap or shampoo is provided.

Room Pauli does not have an on-site restaurant or breakfast service. The hotel's location on the Reeperbahn places it steps from dozens of bars, pubs, currywurst stands (e.g. Kiez Curry, 0.5 km), and restaurants serving international cuisine. Within a 5-minute walk you will find Molly Malone (0.5 km), London Pub (0.5 km), Taverna Hellas (0.5 km), and Cuneo (0.5 km). Each room has a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, and stovetop, so guests can also prepare simple meals. For a full breakfast or sit-down dinner, the surrounding streets offer many options. Guests should plan for self-catering or eating out.
