The location is one of the strongest assets for city exploration: Sagrada Familia is just 8 minutes away on foot, and the shops and Gaudi monuments of Passeig de Gracia are 600 metres from the hostel. The bohemian Gracia neighbourhood is a 5-minute walk, while Arc de Triomf, Ciutadella Park, and Estació del Nord bus station are all within a 15-minute walk. The nearest metro (Verdaguer, serving L4 and L5) is a 2-3 minute walk, providing easy access across Barcelona. For airport transfers, the most practical options are a taxi (fixed metered rate) or the public Aerobús + metro combination; a paid airport shuttle (via Holiday Taxi) can also be arranged. The surrounding streets are lined with cafés, restaurants, and a minimarket, making day-to-day logistics straightforward. Those arriving by car should note that the private parking is two streets away and must be reserved in advance.

The hostel offers single, double, triple, and quadruple private rooms, as well as bed-in-dorm options. Private rooms are bright with functional, original decor and include central heating, a fan, and, in many cases, a balcony and private bathroom. Dorm beds have privacy curtains, personal reading lights, and lockers for belongings. Some rooms have city-view balconies; others have windows facing a light well or internal courtyard, which affects light and ventilation. Rooms on the first floor are reported to be both older and noisier, with possible issues such as mould smell or pipe noise, while rooms on higher floors (e.g., Room 11) tend to be newer, quieter, and in better condition. Soundproofing is generally poor - noise from the street, the shared lounge, and neighbouring rooms travels easily. The property has no air conditioning (only fans), and summer heat combined with street noise can make sleep difficult unless windows remain closed. Single rooms are compact and share bathrooms. Room cleaning is not automatic; it must be requested for stays longer than three days. Towels and linen are provided free of charge.

Breakfast is offered as a self-service buffet for €4 per person, including bread, croissants, cereals, yoghurt, milk, juice, and the option to prepare eggs. Free tea and coffee are also available in the kitchen at all times. The on-site restaurant (4 vientos) is open daily from 05:00 to 23:00, with a Spanish menu covering breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, high tea, and cocktail hour in a family-friendly setting. For those who prefer cooking, the communal kitchen is fully equipped for guest use. The immediate area also has numerous dining options within a 2- to 5-minute walk, including several cafés and restaurants serving breakfast, brunch, and international cuisine (Ca la Patty, Billy Brunch, PerBacco, Teoric Taverna Gastronomica, among others).

While leisure facilities are limited on site (no pool, no spa, no gym), the hostel compensates with a range of free and paid leisure activities. Free walking tours, bike tours, and themed dinner nights are offered, and the kitchen and lounge space provide a relaxed setting for socialising. Activity equipment includes badminton, darts, and board games. For sports, golf courses, snorkelling, and stand-up comedy venues are available within a short distance (some with additional charges). The property also offers free bicycle parking and paid bicycle rental (€10/day), making it easy to explore the city and reach the beach (accessible by bike in around 20-25 minutes). Guest can borrow bicycles for 10€ per day.
