QUALITY INN & SUITES UNIVERSITY FORT COLLINS, Fort Collins

Situated in a quieter section of Fort Collins, this hotel provides easy access to I-25 and Highway 287, making it a practical base for driving to attractions like Horsetooth Reservoir, Old Town, and the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. The free MAX bus service is one block away, offering a car-free route to downtown. Several restaurants, including Olive Garden and Mt. Fuji, are within a half-mile walk, and a coffee shop is a five-minute stroll. A walking and bike trail runs behind the property, and a train track nearby generates some ambient noise, but the street itself remains quiet. For airport connections, the hotel does not offer a shuttle, but the Groome shuttle service is recommended.

All rooms are air-conditioned suites with a seating area, work desk, and tea and coffee maker. Rooms are described as spacious, often accommodating families with the pull-out sofa. Beds can be firm or comfortable depending on the unit, and pillows are frequently noted as needing replacement. The property is older and some rooms show signs of wear, such as stained carpets or dated furniture. Roll-in showers are available in ADA-compliant accessible rooms. Noise insulation varies: ground-floor rooms near the gym, breakfast, or laundry can be disruptive from 4 AM, while upper floors may experience building movement. Room keys sometimes deactivate when near electronics. The hotel offers a choice of daily or opt-out maid service.

The indoor pool is heated and open daily with sun loungers and towels provided. Pool access requires a 30-minute reservation at the front desk. The water can be cool but warms up quickly. The hot tub has been permanently removed. The fitness center is adjacent to the pool and offers free access. Both facilities have been noted as clean when operational, though some upkeep issues have been reported. For outdoor recreation, the Mason Bike Greenway is behind the hotel, and Horsetooth Reservoir (with swimming, boating, and hiking) is a short drive away.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, with each device capped at 10 Mbps-adequate for streaming and browsing but not for large downloads. Free private parking is available but requires a reservation. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out and can assist with luggage storage. On-site guest laundry is available, and outside laundry/valet service can be arranged. A business center with fax and copy services is free to use. The property is fully non-smoking with a designated outdoor smoking area. Security features include CCTV, key card access, and smoke alarms. The hotel is pet-friendly with a $25 per pet per night fee. Staff are generally described as friendly and helpful, though service consistency at the front desk and breakfast can vary.
