The hotel sits just off I-17, making it practical for drivers heading to downtown Phoenix (15 min drive). Business travellers will find the Black Canyon Conference Center a 10-minute walk away. The Metrocenter Mall is 1 km from the hotel, and a large Walmart is in the neighbourhood, along with several chain restaurants within 0.5 km (Outback Steakhouse, Native Grill & Wings). There is no airport shuttle - guests arrive by car or rideshare. The immediate area has some homeless presence, so use the well-lit car park and main entrance. While walkable for errands, a car is strongly recommended for most trips.

Rooms are suite-style with a living area featuring a sofa bed and a separate sleeping area with either one king or two queen beds. Each suite includes a private bathroom (with bath/shower), a microwave and refrigerator - practical for longer stays. All rooms are non-smoking. Several rooms are designated wheelchair accessible, with some on the first floor near the entrance. While suites are spacious, the property shows signs of age - some carpets, furniture and bedding are reported as tired or worn. Check the AC, fan and TV upon arrival; maintenance may address issues. The sofa bed works best for children or occasional use. No rooms have a balcony.

Breakfast is included and offers a continental spread with hot waffles, pre-made breakfast sandwiches, bagels, fruit and muffins. Coffee and water are available all day. Options are limited - no fresh fruit - so guests wanting a fuller meal can walk 0.5 km to Outback Steakhouse or Native Grill & Wings. There is no on-site restaurant or bar.
