RED NEST HOSTEL, Valencia

The hostel sits in the heart of Valencia's old town, a 2-minute walk from the González Martí National Museum of Ceramics and 500 metres from the Basilica de la Virgen de los Desamparados. Turia Gardens are 800 metres away, and a supermarket is across the street. The Colon metro station is a 5-minute walk, giving easy access to the Oceanogràfic and Bioparc. Valencia Airport is 9 km away; a taxi takes around 20 minutes.

Available accommodation includes female-only dorms, mixed dorms, and private double or twin rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and have shared bathroom facilities. The dormitory rooms contain metal bunk beds with under-bed lockers (bring a padlock). The distribution is functional but space is limited, and power sockets may not be next to every bed. Noise from the hallway, street, and other guests can be significant, particularly in rooms facing the road. Private rooms offer more quiet, especially for light sleepers. A lift serves the upper floors.

The hostel does not have a restaurant or bar. Breakfast is not served. A shared kitchen on the 5th floor is equipped for self-catering, with a separate storage tray per room for food. Several popular eateries are within a 5-minute walk, including La Riua, Goiko Grill, Cinnamon Restaurant, and Mood Food, offering a variety of cuisines.

The 5th-floor common area includes a sun terrace with sun umbrellas, a table, and chairs, plus a shared lounge with a TV. The hostel organises paid activities like walking tours, bike tours, pub crawls, and evening entertainment. The bar and social events take place at the sister property, Purple Nest Hostel, a 5-7 minute walk away.

The 24-hour front desk provides check-in service at any time and stores luggage free of charge for arriving and departing guests. Other services include a shared kitchen, lockers (padlock not provided), daily housekeeping, a tour desk, lockers, and a safety deposit box. On-site laundry (washer and dryer) is available for an additional charge. The hostel has a lift, air conditioning, and heating. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.
