RED ROOF INN PLUS+ SECAUCUS - MEADOWLANDS, Secaucus

This Secaucus property sits on the Hackensack River, offering Manhattan access without the congestion or cost of NYC hotels. The hotel is located directly on Route 3, with quick highway access to American Dream Mall (1 km), MetLife Stadium (2 km), and Secaucus Junction train station (2 km). Newark Liberty Airport is 15 km away; LaGuardia and JFK are within 32 km. Weekday bus #129 runs infront of the hotel from 6:08 am to 9:07 am, reaching Port Authority in about 30 minutes. On weekends and outside those hours, riders walk two blocks to an alternate stop. A walkable cluster of Wendy's, Dunkin' Donuts, Subway, and Sinbad Cafe & Grill are across the street, and the area feels safe with a visible police presence.

Room types include standard double rooms (one or two beds), superior rooms, and accessible rooms. All have air conditioning, heating, an HD flat-screen TV with cable channels (HBO included), a work desk, ironing facilities, hairdryer, and free long-distance calls. Select rooms add a microwave, refrigerator, and tea/coffee maker. The property is older and basic, with some rooms noted as compact. Upgraded rooms on the river side offer pleasant views of the Hackensack River and are quieter than road-facing units. Road-facing rooms can pick up traffic noise from Route 3. Accessible rooms include features such as widened doorways and grab rails, but not all have raised toilets as requested. No rooms have balconies.

Dining at the property is limited to coffee (6:00-11:00 am daily) and a snack center / vending machines for drinks and packaged items. For full meals, Wendy's, Dunkin' Donuts, Subway, and Sinbad Cafe & Grill are directly across the street. A wider range of cuisine - including Jollibee, Yard House, and MrBeast Burger - is within 0.3 km at the Harmon Meadow Plaza area. The lack of an on-site restaurant means planning meals ahead, but the immediate vicinity offers convenient budget-friendly choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The hotel does not have a swimming pool, spa, or fitness center. The outdoor space features a picnic area with tables and a gazebo overlooking the Hackensack River, where guests can enjoy the water view and birdwatching. For leisure attractions, American Dream Mall - featuring Big Snow indoor ski slope, Nickelodeon Universe, Sealife Aquarium, and Legoland Discovery Center - is 1 km away. MetLife Stadium for concerts and Giants/Jets games is 2 km away, and the Secaucus Outlets and Meadowlands Exposition Center are within 3 km.

The property offers free verified Wi-Fi throughout and free private parking with no reservation needed. A 24-hour front desk handles express check-in/out, luggage storage, and late checkout requests. A coin-operated guest laundry is available for a fee. Services include fax/photocopying and limited housekeeping on request. Safety deposit boxes are available for a charge. The hotel is fully smoke-free, with accessible features including a wheelchair-accessible entrance, lobby, and guestrooms, plus Braille signage. One pet up to 36 kg stays free. No airport shuttle is available, but public buses stop nearby.
