The AK St Georg bus stop is a 3-minute walk, with buses 6 and 17 connecting to the city centre, Miniatur Wunderland, and other attractions. Lange Reihe, a street with numerous cafés, bars, and restaurants, is a 2-minute walk away. Hamburg Central Station is a 10-15 minute walk, and the city centre is about 20 minutes on foot. From the airport, take the S-Bahn S1 to Hauptbahnhof (30 minutes), then bus 6 or 17 to AK St Georg. A taxi costs around €30 and takes 30 minutes. On-site parking costs €15/day (limited, no reservation) and three EV charging stations are available for €10 per charge.

Room sizes and styles vary significantly by building. The main building's premium rooms have traditional décor and many offer Alster views but face a busy street. Guesthouse Hohenfelde provides comfort rooms that are quieter, overlooking the courtyard. House St Georg has standard single rooms and premium doubles connected via a gallery corridor. All rooms are non-smoking and include a safe, flat-screen TV, and private bathroom. Some have bathtubs; showers can be very compact. There is no air conditioning, minibar, kettle, or telephone. Road-facing rooms and those near lifts can be noisy. Windows open but may let in traffic sound. Daily cleaning is only upon request. Allergy-friendly bedding is available. The hotel has a small lift and some rooms require stairs. Family rooms with extra space for children and dogs are available.

The hotel does not have a spa, swimming pool, or fitness centre. However, the Outer Alster lake opposite the hotel offers a popular jogging and walking path. The hotel can arrange guided museum tours and sailing boats on request. The hotel director occasionally offers rooftop visits with panoramic city views. For children, baby safety gates, board games, and a playpen are available. A dog park is located directly behind the hotel, making it convenient for pet owners. The surrounding St. Georg neighbourhood has parks and green spaces for leisurely strolls.

WiFi is free throughout but signal strength can be weak in rooms in the guesthouse Hohenfelde and House St Georg. The 24-hour front desk offers concierge service, tour desk, express check-in/out, and luggage storage. Business facilities include meeting rooms, fax/photocopying, and a conference lounge with free WiFi - all at an additional charge. Laundry and ironing services are available for a fee. The hotel has a lift, though the garage lift may occasionally be out of service. Three EV charging stations are available (2 Tesla, 1 universal) at €10 per charge. On-site parking costs €15/day and is unreserved - spaces are very tight. Pets are allowed with possible charges; pet beds, bowls, and blankets can be provided. A designated smoking area is in the courtyard. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, key card access, and in-room safes.
