RESIDENCE MONTEMPO APPART'HOTEL LYON CITE INTERNATIONALE, Lyon

The residence is inside the Cité Internationale complex, next to the Palais des Congrès and the Contemporary Art Museum. The park entrance is directly across the road, offering a free zoo, botanic gardens and walking/biking trails. A bus stop at the hotel entrance connects to the city centre in about 15 minutes (lines C1, C5). Lyon Part-Dieu train station is a 10-minute bus ride. Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport is roughly 30 minutes by car (no airport shuttle). The area around the hotel has a handful of cafés and restaurants, and the Cité Internationale offers a few dining and shopping options. The location is quieter than the historic centre, suited for conference attendees and those who prefer green surroundings. For car users, easy highway access is nearby, and the P2 underground parking garage is directly in front of the building.

Breakfast costs €12 per adult and €6 per child per day. It includes bread, pastries, yoghurt, hot drinks, cold scrambled eggs, bacon, and fruit. The quality and variety are described as basic for the price. No hot à-la-carte options exist. The hotel has no restaurant, bar, or café; instead, there are vending machines for snacks and drinks in the lobby. Several independent restaurants (Italian, French, Asian) are within a 2-minute walk inside the Cité Internationale complex, and more options are a short bus ride into the city centre. Self-catering with the kitchenette is practical for most meals - shops for groceries are a 10-minute bus ride away. The hotel offers free coffee at the reception during daytime hours.

The front desk operates around the clock for check-in and assistance. Luggage storage is free for early arrivals and late departures. Laundry (washing + drying) costs €5 per load. The property has a lift and some facilities for disabled guests, though stairs are not available for room access - mobility should be considered. A safety deposit box is provided in each unit. Business travellers can use the meeting/banquet facilities for an extra charge. Parking is in a nearby underground garage (P2, height limit 2.70 m) at €10/day with hotel booking; the garage also has electric vehicle charging stations. Bicycle parking can be arranged via the garage. Payment is accepted by cash or major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). The hotel lacks a restaurant, spa, pool, and airport shuttle. The overall level of service is efficient but basic: no daily housekeeping unless requested (possible fee for extra cleaning), and self-service for rubbish disposal and dishwasher loading.
