The Ripley Court is on Talbot Street, a busy area with a mix of shops, supermarkets and casual dining options within a few hundred metres. Connolly Station (for DART and Intercity trains) and Busáras (central bus station) are a 2-3 minute walk. The Luas red line tram stop is about 3 minutes away, and the AirLink bus 747 from the airport stops directly outside the hotel. Temple Bar, the River Liffey and the city centre attractions are within a 10-15 minute walk. The area around the hotel is lively and can feel rough late at night, but the main thoroughfares remain well-used.

Room types include double, twin and family rooms, all with a private bathroom, hairdryer and ironing facilities. Family rooms include a double and single bed. Some rooms are spacious while others are more compact, and the hotel's decor is older and well-used, with dark furniture and worn furnishings. Some rooms are internal or face the railway line and street, so a rear-facing room is recommended for a quieter stay. A few rooms have been refurbished to a more modern standard with a fresh bathroom and stylish decor. Soundproofing between rooms can be thin, and noise from corridors and adjacent rooms is possible. Some rooms have been noted for issues such as broken beds or a dated feel.

Breakfast is served daily as a buffet with a full Irish fry plus continental items such as cereals, bread, pastries and juice. Breakfast hours are 07:00-10:30, so plan accordingly after a late night. The bar operates in the evening, and bar food is available when the restaurant is closed. The hotel also has a coffee shop on site.
