ROOMS BALME, Barcelona

The property sits in a vibrant central area within easy walking distance of Passeig de Gràcia (500 m), La Pedrera (600 m), and Passeig de Gràcia Metro Station (under 1 km). The surrounding streets offer numerous restaurants, supermarkets, and cafés within a 5-minute walk, including a variety of dining options from vegetarian to Argentine grill. The excellent walkability and metro connectivity make a car unnecessary for exploring the city. A club operates adjacent to the building, and noise from it can carry into the property at night, which may affect light sleepers staying on lower floors or rooms facing the street.

The property offers single, double, triple, and quadruple rooms, each equipped with air conditioning (10 EUR/day surcharge), heating, a washing machine, a tea and coffee maker, a dining area, and a flat-screen TV. Some double and triple rooms include a balcony. Rooms noted to feel small and dark, particularly those without windows or with windows facing an internal lightwell. Some rooms contain water heaters that can make the room hot and noisy. Soundproofing is poor; noise from adjoining rooms and the adjacent club is common. The shared bathrooms (2 per floor) are described as large and cleaned daily but can lack amenities like soap and toilet paper. Bed linen and towels are changed every 4 days.

No pool, spa, gym, or games room is available on-site. The central location places guests within walking distance of major attractions such as Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, and Passeig de Gràcia. Boating activities can be found in the surrounding area, but more comprehensive leisure options require travel beyond the immediate neighbourhood.

WiFi is free throughout the property. Reception staff communicate in English and Spanish via a remote chat-based system. A lift serves all floors. Safety is managed by key-card access to the building and rooms. Daily housekeeping and laundry are both available at an additional cost. A shared washing machine and dryer are provided. Check-in is from 16:00, and check-out by 11:00; early check-in is sometimes possible upon request. Guests arriving before check-in can use luggage storage for 5 EUR.
