ROYALE 8 VILLE GUEST HOUSE, Bangkok

The guesthouse is set on a quiet side street, yet within a 10-minute walk of the lively Khao San Road area. Phra Arthit Pier, providing river and canal boat access, is about a 15-minute walk. The Grand Palace and Wat Pho are roughly a 30-minute walk or a short taxi ride. Don Mueang International Airport is 25 km away. A 7-Eleven and several local restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. The soi exit is on a fast road with no pedestrian crossing, so crossing to catch a taxi or heading to the main thoroughfare requires walking about 400 metres to a traffic light junction. Taxis can be arranged through the 24-hour reception.

Rooms at Royale 8 Ville feature parquet floors, a wardrobe, and a terrace with city or quiet street views. All have a flat-screen TV, free toiletries, and a walk-in shower. Triple rooms include two beds and are well suited to small families or groups. The property is older and some rooms are compact, but the beds are consistently described as comfortable. Soundproofing is limited - road-facing rooms may pick up street noise and adjacent room sounds can carry. Deluxe double rooms have a slightly larger, more thoughtfully designed bathroom. No tables, chairs, or work desks are provided in the rooms, so activities like eating or laptop use are done on the bed. There is no kitchenette, kettle, or mini-fridge, though a shared refrigerator is available on the first floor upon request.

WiFi is provided free of charge across the property. The 24-hour front desk can assist with tour bookings, bus tickets, and airport taxi arrangements. Luggage storage is available free of charge, letting you explore after check-out. Laundry service is offered at the hotel. Daily housekeeping is standard, but the make-up-my-room sign must be displayed to trigger servicing; otherwise, cleaning may not occur automatically. An iron and ironing board are available. The building has a lift. The property has key card access, CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, and a security alarm. Accepted payment methods include Visa and Maestro; credit cards are accepted.
