The hostel sits in Barcelona's historic Barceloneta district, known for its excellent seafood restaurants and beachfront bars. Barceloneta Metro Station is a 10-minute walk, and regular buses from directly opposite the hostel reach Las Ramblas in 10 minutes. Barcelona Sants train station is 20 minutes away by metro, and the airport is a 20-minute drive (taxi about €40) or a bus-and-metro combination. The Gothic Quarter and many city attractions are within walking distance, and the neighbourhood feels safe even late in the evening.

The hostel offers 6- and 8-bed mixed dorms, 8-bed female dorms, and private quadruple rooms. Each bed has a privacy curtain, a reading lamp, USB and power sockets, and a lockable under-bed drawer (bring your own padlock or buy one at reception at around €3). Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating, and have windows that cannot be opened. Some rooms face the street and may carry noise from the promenade; interior rooms tend to be quieter. The en-suite bathrooms include a walk-in shower, toilet, and sink, with a separate WC in some rooms. Bathroom lighting uses motion sensors that may turn off during use, and the shower operates on a short timer. Daily cleaning is reported, though consistency can vary. Lift access is available to upper floors.

Breakfast is available from 09:00 and costs around €7-9 (not included in the room rate). The OH Sea Bar offers a range of cuisines including Catalan, Mediterranean, Mexican, Spanish, and Tex-Mex, with a menu that covers breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. The bar is open daily from 08:00 to 21:00. There is no self-catering kitchen or guest fridge, and food and drink are not allowed in the rooms. The surrounding Barceloneta area is packed with seafood restaurants, beach bars, and cafés - all within a short walk.

The hostel does not have a pool, spa, or gym. The immediate beachfront offers sunbathing, swimming, and water sports, with a wide promenade ideal for walking, running, or cycling. Many beach bars and rental services for surf and paddle equipment are located right next door. For indoor leisure, the hostel's own bar provides a lively atmosphere with music and drinks.

The property offers free Wi-Fi in all areas. The 24-hour front desk allows late arrivals (check-in until 05:00) and can hold luggage free of charge before check-in and after check-out. Lockable storage is available in the room (bring your own padlock). Laundry service is available for an additional charge. The building has a lift, air conditioning, heating, and is fully non-smoking. Security includes CCTV, key card access, and 24-hour staff. Payment can be made by cash or card (Visa, Mastercard). Towels are rented for €2 for the whole stay, with a deposit required. No parking is available on site.
