NH BARCELONA DIAGONAL POBLENOU, Barcelona

The hotel offers double rooms, family rooms with connecting doors, and suites. Rooms are generally soundproofed but not completely-noise from corridors and neighbouring rooms can be heard. Standard rooms lack a kettle, while Superior rooms and Junior Suites include one. The rooms are typically clean, comfortable, and spacious, though some dated furnishings, minor wear and tear, and occasional mould in bathroom corners have been noted. The bathrooms have either a bath or shower and a hairdryer; some shower doors may not close fully. Rooms have air conditioning (summer mode) and heating (winter mode), but controlling the temperature can be tricky. Some rooms face an inner courtyard, offering quieter stays, while others face the street or nearby buildings with less attractive views.

The breakfast buffet (19 EUR per person) offers a good selection including continental, American, and vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options. While many find the buffet copious and tasty, the quality can be inconsistent-pastries, bread, and hot drinks are available, but items like eggs and coffee may not always meet expectations. The breakfast area is in the basement and can feel cramped during busy hours. The hotel has a snack bar and vending machines for drinks and snacks, but there is no full-service restaurant. For other meals, numerous cafés and restaurants are within a short walk on Poblenou Rambla.

The hotel provides a free fitness centre with basic cardio and weight equipment. While suitable for a quick workout, some machines may occasionally need maintenance. The area lacks a spa, pool, or other recreational facilities, so guests looking for extensive wellness options would need to explore nearby beaches (15 minutes on foot) or other external venues.

Guests benefit from a 24-hour front desk and free luggage storage, which is useful for early arrivals or late departures. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The hotel has a business centre with fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet facilities for an additional charge. Daily housekeeping is free; dry cleaning, ironing, and laundry are available for a fee. The hotel is wheelchair accessible, with adapted rooms featuring lower sinks, grab bars, and shower seats. Parking includes an electric vehicle charging station. The property has safety features like CCTV, key card access, and safety deposit boxes.
