SOHRE, Hamburg

The property is set in an affordable, quiet neighbourhood with a village character, offering a calm retreat from the city centre. A bus stop directly across the street provides frequent services to Wilhelmsburg S-Bahn station, with a journey of about 30 minutes to central Hamburg. The area is well-suited for car travel, with free parking on site. For those without a car, public transport is the best option for reaching city attractions, the cruise terminal at Steinwerder, or major landmarks such as Miniatur Wunderland.

Double rooms are available in configurations of 1 or 2 beds, all with private bathrooms. The rooms are simply furnished with a functional layout. Some have a traditional decor that may feel dated. Guests have noted that mattresses can be comfortable, while some report issues with noise due to thin walls and floors in certain units. Heating is provided, though response time can be slow. The TV receives only a few free-to-air channels; access to additional channels requires a separate device with a deposit and small daily fee. Rooms vary in cleanliness condition, and some maintenance details have been flagged, so inspecting the room on arrival is advisable.

The restaurant provides a child-friendly buffet and kids' meals at an additional charge, along with wine and champagne options. The atmosphere is family-friendly and traditional. No breakfast is offered at the property. Guests who want an evening meal on site can plan around the limited opening days. The restaurant has been noted as a positive feature, especially for those wanting a convenient dinner option without driving. The minimarket on site provides basic snacks and drinks for other times.

For on-site entertainment, the property offers board games and puzzles, suitable for families or quiet evenings. Active guests can explore the surrounding area by cycling, or visit off-site bowling alleys (additional charges apply). The quiet neighbourhood provides a pleasant environment for walks or cycling, but there are no dedicated wellness facilities such as a pool, gym, or spa.
