The hotel is located on a main corridor in Kissimmee, about a 10-15 minute drive from Disney theme parks and 15 minutes from Universal Orlando and SeaWorld. Orlando International Airport is 29 km away. There is no airport shuttle, but a free property shuttle serves Disney's Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on a limited schedule. Several restaurants (including Dunkin' and Kyngs Grille) are within 1 km, and a shopping centre with Walmart, Ross, and TJ Maxx is about 5 minutes by car. For park visits, driving or using ride-shares is often more flexible than the shuttle due to limited departures.

Rooms are set up as suites with a half-wall separating the bedroom area from the living space. Bed options include king or double/full-size beds. The sofa bed in most suites is older and frequently reported as uncomfortable. Air conditioning units can be noisy and the rooms tend to feel humid; a dehumidifier is placed in each room. Windows can be opened, which helps with ventilation. Closets are located inside the bathroom, which can feel cluttered. Rooms facing the parking lot or elevator can be noisier - requesting a room away from these areas is advisable. The property does not have balcony rooms.

Breakfast is included and offers a full hot buffet with items like scrambled eggs, pork or turkey sausage, Mickey waffles, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit (mostly oranges and bananas), and baked goods. The breakfast area is located off the lobby and can become crowded, especially between 7:30 am and 9 am. For lunch and dinner, the on-site Tiki Bar beside the pool serves American food and drinks (standard American menu). A pizza counter near the lobby also offers slices. There is a Starbucks coffee outlet near the pool area. Several restaurants within walking distance include Dunkin' and Kyngs Grille (0.5-1 km).

The hotel provides complimentary access to an adjacent resort complex (Calypso Cay) with three pools, two of which are heated and open year-round. One pool features a waterslide and a shallow end for children, another has a pool bar. There is also a children's splash pad and a separate kids' pool. Additional free leisure options include a mini-golf course, basketball/volleyball courts, and a fitness centre. A sauna and hot tub/jacuzzi are available. For a fee, the on-site Adventure Park offers zip lining, rock climbing, inflatable slides, and bungee jumping. Towels for the pool are checked out at the front desk.
