The resort sits directly on the beach, with easy access to the shore. Broadway at the Beach, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, Ripley's Aquarium, and Family Kingdom Amusement Park are about 10 minutes by car. Myrtle Beach International Airport is 16 km (about 20 minutes) away. Several chain and local restaurants are within walking distance, and grocery stores are within a 5-15 minute drive. Free parking is available on site in a garage and open lot across the street, making it practical for guests with vehicles.

All units have a private balcony, with many offering ocean views. Room types include standard rooms with refrigerator and microwave, efficiency units with small kitchenettes, and one- to four-bedroom condos with full-size appliances, washer/dryer, and separate living areas. Bed configurations range from king and queen beds to double beds and sofa beds. Air conditioning and flat-screen TVs are standard. The property has undergone partial renovation; some units feature modern finishes and laminate flooring, while others remain dated with worn carpets, doors, and appliances. A few units have reported maintenance issues such as clogged drains, leaking fixtures, and broken balcony doors. Room size varies: standard rooms are compact, while larger condos are spacious. Noise from thin walls and adjoining doors can be a concern in some units. Floor requests can be noted, and units range from the 2nd to 15th floors.

Café du Port serves a paid breakfast buffet ($12.95 for ages 12+, $6.95 for children) with an omelette station, fresh fruit, and other hot items. Service is notably friendly, particularly from veteran staff. The Banana Boat Lounge offers lunch and a full bar at the poolside, with American fare and cocktails. No dinner restaurant is available on site; guests often dine at nearby restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. Starbucks is located next door at the adjacent Grande Cayman Resort. The breakfast is considered a highlight by many, though quality and buffet freshness can fluctuate. There is no room service.

The resort has two pools (indoor and outdoor), five hot tubs, a lazy river, and Shipwreck Water Park with slides and splash areas for children. Pools and hot tubs are open year-round and heated; the indoor pool is available during cooler months. The water park is partially weather-dependent and the slide may have limited hours. A fitness room, game room (with shuffleboard, giant chess, and volleyball), and a gift shop are also available. Massage services are offered for an additional charge. The south tower is closest to the pool area. All water amenities are for registered guests only.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the resort. Parking is free on site in a parking garage and open lot across the street; one pass is given for standard rooms, two for larger condos. Extra metered parking is available for $15/day. Elevator service is available to all floors. Laundry facilities are on-site for standard rooms; larger condos have in-unit washer/dryer. Cribs (Pack 'n Plays) are available on a first-come basis. The property offers meeting rooms and the Grand Ballroom for events. There is no airport shuttle or spa. Housekeeping is provided but is limited in scope; daily service must be requested and may not include bed-making. A $100 security deposit is required at check-in.
