STAYABLE SELECT GAINESVILLE, Gainesville

The hotel is situated on South 13th Street, about 2 km south of the University of Florida. It provides a free shuttle to campus and Shands Hospital, running on a round-robin schedule during events. The location is convenient for football games and hospital visits. While there are limited dining options within walking distance, Chopstix Cafe is 0.5 km away and Domino's Pizza is 1 km away. The property's lakeside setting offers a tranquil escape from the city bustle, yet the interstate and airport are easily accessible by car.

The hotel consists of multiple buildings connected by outdoor walkways. Rooms are spacious and have been renovated with modern furnishings, though some areas still show signs of age. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, microwave, and a sitting area with a dining table. Private balconies or patios are standard, with many overlooking the lake or pool. Beds are comfortable, but noise can be an issue due to thin walls and loud air conditioning units. The bathrooms are functional but may feel small; some units have parquet floor. For a quieter stay, request a room away from the ice machine and exterior doors.

The free breakfast includes hot items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, fruit, and cereals, plus a made-to-order omelet station. Breakfast hours are generally 6:30am to 9:30am, but can be busy during events and may run out of items if not attended early. The on-site restaurant offers a limited menu for dinner, with a bar serving drinks and appetizers. The bar sometimes closes early, so plan accordingly. Several nearby dining options include Chopstix Cafe (0.5 km) and Domino's Pizza (1 km) for more variety.

The outdoor pool is clean and well-maintained, offering a pleasant setting with views of Bivens Arm Lake. The pool area is surrounded by a garden with a gazebo, providing a relaxing spot. There are no other major wellness facilities such as a gym or spa. The lake itself offers opportunities for wildlife viewing and a peaceful environment. The pool is seasonal and may not be available year-round. Families will find the pool and garden suitable for children.
