SWEET HOME DESIREE, Florence

The guest house is located in a quieter, practical neighbourhood ideal for car travellers. Free street parking is abundant right outside the building. The closest tram stop (T1 line) is a 15-minute walk-the ride into central Florence takes about 15 minutes and costs €1.50. A taxi from the airport costs around 25-30 € and takes 15-20 minutes. The bus stop is a 3-minute walk away. Nearby landmarks include Fortezza da Basso and Pitti Palace. A large shopping centre with a big supermarket is a 2-minute walk, and several restaurants (including a pizzeria) are within a 10-minute walk. The area is safe and clean, but a car or transit is essential for most stays.

Rooms are available as double rooms (1 bed) or quadruple family rooms (3 beds). All rooms feature soundproof walls, air conditioning, parquet flooring, a wardrobe, and an electric kettle. Private bathrooms include a shower, bidet, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Shared bathrooms are cleaned daily and shared with one adjacent room. The room size is best suited for short stays; storage space is limited, so pack light. Rooms facing the road can be noisy from early-morning traffic-request a courtyard-side room for quieter sleep. Some rooms offer a private terrace. Upper-floor rooms (top floor) have more natural light.

The property provides complimentary water, coffee, tea, and a coffee machine in the hallway. A vending machine for drinks is on site. No kitchen is available for guest use. Nearby dining includes a pizzeria and other restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. A large supermarket is a 2-minute walk where you can purchase supplies. Breakfast is not served, but some guests have been offered coffee and croissants in the morning-this is not a guaranteed service.

The property has a terrace and an inner courtyard view from some rooms. There is no pool, gym, sauna or spa. Nearby, you can find a large shopping centre with entertainment options and a sports bar showing live events (additional charge). For those looking for local atmosphere, a nearby commercial area (2-minute walk) has cafés and shops.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Free public parking is available on the street right next to the building (no reservation needed); there are also accessible parking spots and an electric vehicle charging station. Valet parking is also offered. Airport shuttle service is available for an additional charge (pick-up and drop-off). Luggage storage is free, and express/private check-in and check-out are standard. A 24-hour front desk, concierge, and security (CCTV, 24-hour security, smoke alarms) are in place. Pets are allowed with no extra fee. A snack bar, minimarket, and coffee shop are on site. Business facilities include free fax/photocopying. Laundry, dry cleaning, and ironing are available for an extra charge. Babysitting/child services can be arranged (additional charge). Allergy-free rooms, non-smoking throughout, and soundproof rooms are available.
