MELARANCIO APARTMENTS, Florence

The apartments sit between the train station and the historic core, with San Lorenzo Market and the Medici Chapel just steps away. Major sights like the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio are within a 10-minute walk. A tram from the airport stops nearby, and the surrounding streets are filled with restaurants, markets, and grocery stores. The area feels lively yet slightly removed from the most crowded tourist zones, making it practical for exploring the city entirely on foot.

Each apartment includes a living area and a kitchen or kitchenette equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, and tea and coffee facilities. Some units feature restored historical frescoes and high ceilings that give a sense of the building's 15th- and 16th-century origins. Rooms vary from studios to two-bedroom layouts, all with private bathrooms (shower and bidet). The apartments are described as spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with quality bed linen and a washing machine in every unit. Note that some apartments are on upper floors reached by stairs without a lift.
