Tara Place is located on Sam Sen Road, less than a 10-minute walk from Khaosan Road, the Grand Palace, and the Emerald Buddha Temple. Thammasat University is also a 10-minute walk away. The nearest BTS station (Phyathai) requires a 20-minute taxi from the hotel, but there are several bus stops nearby providing connections to the Weekend Market, Airport, and Chinatown. A public pier is a 10-minute walk away, giving access to the Chao Phraya river boats. The immediate area is lively with street food, cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, massage parlours, and a 7-Eleven. While the main road can be busy and noisy, rooms set back from the road are quieter. The area is considered a top location for exploring the old city on foot, with the nightlife of Khaosan Road easily accessible but the hotel itself remaining relatively peaceful in a residential-style street.
