THC TIRSO MOLINA HOSTEL, Madrid

The hostel sits on a relatively quiet street in the La Latina district, surrounded by traditional tapas bars, cafés, and a 24-hour supermarket (Lidl, Carrefour) within a few minutes' walk. Metro line 10 from Tirso de Molina connects directly to Atocha Station and the airport bus routes. The Reina Sofía Art Museum and Atocha Station are 15 minutes on foot, while Plaza Mayor and El Rastro flea market are within easy walking distance. For those arriving by car, no parking is on site; the metro and walking are recommended.

Room sizes are compact, and some bathrooms have the toilet and shower in separate small cubicles. Suites offer a separate lounge area and a more spacious terrace but are also on upper floors accessed by narrow stairs - guests who mind climbing should note this. Descriptions note that photos can make rooms appear larger than they are; the atmosphere is basic but functional. Beds range from double to queen; pillows and mattresses are comfortable according to most stays. Daily housekeeping is provided, and towels are changed. Storage is minimal - no wardrobes in many rooms, and no in-room fridge, kettle, or coffee maker. Soundproofing is weak: internal noise from hallways and other rooms can be an issue, especially on the first floor. A hair dryer, iron, and electric kettle are available from reception on request.

Wi-Fi is free throughout. The 24-hour reception provides security and convenience; staff are noted for being exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering maps and advice. Daily housekeeping and towel changes are included. Luggage storage is free and useful for early arrivals or late departures. The property has key access and 24-hour security. No parking is available, and no lift is present - staff can assist with luggage up stairs. Pets are not allowed. Accepted payment methods: Visa, Maestro, MasterCard.
