THE BEXLEY MOTEL, Sydney

Located just 10 km from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, the motel is about 6 minutes by car or 18 minutes by public bus. The bus 420 stop (direct to the airport without the airport surcharge) is only 200 metres away, and Rockdale train station is a 10- to 20-minute walk. Central Station Sydney is 12 km away, and the Australian National Maritime Museum is 14 km. Free on-site private parking is available, with extra parking behind the bottle shop. The surrounding neighbourhood is pleasant and green, with several parks and an aquatic centre nearby. For those arriving by car, accessibility to the M1 and other main roads is straightforward.

All rooms include a private en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin. In-room kitchenettes feature a microwave, refrigerator, sink, tea/coffee maker, and basic cutlery and crockery. Each room has a flat-screen TV (free-to-air, no cable), a work desk, a dining table, a wardrobe, and a sofa. Rooms are notably spacious, with high ceilings in ground-floor units, though interior corridors can feel compact. Carpeted floors are standard, and some rooms have windows that do not open. Air conditioning and heating are provided, but some units have reported noisy AC units; requesting a working unit at check-in is advisable. Comfortable beds are typical, though a few reports note very firm mattresses. Street-facing rooms may experience noise from traffic and the pub opposite; requesting a rear-facing room is recommended. The building is two stories with stairs and no lift; ground-floor rooms are available upon request for those with mobility needs.

The Forest Inn Hotel, located directly across the street, offers a traditional dining experience with a menu featuring Mexican, Australian, International, and BBQ cuisines. It accommodates a variety of dietary needs including halal, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. Meals are available for lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour, with generous portions at reasonable prices. Kids' meals are also available. The bar serves a selection of cocktails. For those seeking alternative dining options within a short walk, Bexley Chickens, Urban Grain, Mamma Mui, Anater Lebanese Restaurant, Arthur's Pizza, and Gyradiko Bexley are all within approximately 0.3-0.5 km. Supermarkets and bakeries are also nearby for self-catering. In-room kitchenettes and a shared kitchen upstairs provide additional meal preparation options.

Free private parking is available on site (no reservation needed) with CCTV coverage. Guests arriving before check-in can store luggage at the motel. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. A shared kitchen upstairs includes a washing machine and dryer for guest use. Laundry services (dry cleaning and ironing) are available for an additional charge. Daily housekeeping is not standard; guests can request towel replacements or other services by contacting the front desk. A vending machine offers drinks and snacks. Business facilities are limited to fax/photocopying. Security features include 24-hour security, key card access, CCTV, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. The property has accessible parking and is wheelchair accessible, with ground-floor rooms available for those who need level access. Accessible bathrooms with grab rails and raised toilets are available. Payment can be made with Visa, JCB, Maestro, Discover, Bankcard, Eftpos, and MasterCard. Late check-ins are handled by the hotel across the street.
